Tim Jones为地学准教授(Reader in Earth Sciences)。

Dr.Tim Jones currently is Reader of Earth Sciences of Cardiff University, UK. Tim began to study palaeobotany with Professor Bill Chaloner (FRS, 1928--) at the Royal Holloway and Bedford New College (R.H.B.N.C.), University of London in 1988.The subject of Tim Jones’ Ph.D. thesis centered on the fossil charcoal. Tim completed his thesis and got Ph.D. degree in 1991. Dr. Tim Jones initiated his scientific career in Department of Earth Sciences, Cardiff University in 1995 after he finished his job as a Humboldt Research Fellow in Tuebingen, Germany. Although Dr. Jones retains his research in fossil charcoal, he has developed strong interests in airborne particulate pollution and human respiratory health, bringing about some interesting and useful research results (see Appendix 1) for academic and public communities.
