--英国古植物学队伍庞大阵容豪华

   这个世界不需要太多的古植物学家，但需要拔尖的古植物学家。

   目前，英国拥有10多个在岗职业古植物学家。英国皇家学会现有4位古植物学院士，即：William Gilbert Chaloner (FRS, 1928--)、Dianne
Edwards (1942--)、Sir Peter Crane (FRS,1954--)和David John Beerling（1965--），前两位已经退休。

   就英国的国土面积和人口数量来说，英国拥有一支非常豪华、非常庞大的古植物学研究队伍。
