I knew in theory that one should rebalance one's portfolio every year, but I was too busy to do so until the market went down three years in a roll during 2000-2002. I am not so sure if my rebalancing act has worked or not, but I am doing it again, after my account sum went up USD40+k last year and this year (so far). I am afraid that the sky is going to fall, again. (Didn't MAO say that the political tide would come once every 6-7 years? He was forever right because he was the one who generated these tides.)
