The 4th International Conference on Magneto-Science (ICMS2011, http://www.mag-sci2011.com/) organized by the International Scientific Committee of ICMS will be held in Shanghai & Xi’an in China in October 9th-15th, 2011.
Magnetic field is known to affect chemical, physical and biological processes of even common substances with feeble magnetism. Recently, many interesting phenomena have been observed due to the establishment of high magnetic field laboratories and wide utilization of superconductor magnets with around 10T field. These findings are considered to present very useful implications for chemical and physical processing of materials. Taking this advantage into account, the term “Magneto-Science” is adopted to differentiate this new scientific field from traditional ones.
The International Conference on Magneto-Science (ICMS) is intended to provide an opportunity to foster critical discussion and facilitate wide information exchange by active scientists throughout the world, who are researching magnetic field influences imparted on chemical, physical, and biological phenomena, in addition to magnetic processing of materials. Up to now, three ICMS have been held, that are, ICMS2005 in Yokohama, Japan, 2005, ICMS2007 in Hiroshima, Japan, 2007 and ICMS2009 in Nijmegen, Netherlands, 2009.
The conference is open for any kind of material processing involving magnetic fields. It intends to bring together a large number of world-leading scientists in the field of Magneto-Science; to provide a timely update of this relatively new research area; to generate new ideas; and to initiate new collaborations amongst the participants.
We cordially invite you to attend ICMS2011 and look forward to seeing you in Shanghai & Xi`an, P.R. China in October 9th-15th, 2011.
