Ph.D. position in Environmental Engineering @ UCF
One Ph.D. position in Environmental Engineering (Fall 2020 Program) is open at the Catalysis Cluster for Renewable Energy and Chemical Transformations (REACT) and The Department of Civil, Environmental, and Construction Engineering at theUniversity of Central Florida (UCF), Orlando, Florida, United States.
The Ph.D. student will be supervised by Dr. Fudong Liu. Dr. Liu has been working in heterogeneous catalysis, nanomaterials, environmental chemistry, and synchrotron based technique for material characterization for 14 years, in both academia and industry. He has published 70+ peer reviewed papers with 5200+ citations and H-index of 39 (https://scholar.google.com/citations?user=5gRxLTwAAAAJ&hl=en), applied 32 patents with 16 granted, given 50+ presentations in academic meetings and published 4 book chapters in heterogenous catalysis field.
The group's research direction at UCF is heterogenous catalysis for pollution control, chemical synthesis and energy conversion. Topics include single site catalysis, nanomaterial synthesis and catalysis, automotive emission control, CO2 utilization etc. Candidates with master degree in Environmental Sciences and Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, and Materials Sciences and Engineering, as well as high motivation in heterogenous catalysis research are encouraged to apply.
