广义相对论100年，爱因斯坦——孤独的天才？

   今年是爱因斯坦的广义相对论发表100年，有众多的纪念文章发表，我找了几篇与大家分享。

   第一篇，见于《Nature》2015年11月19日刊。其中有一篇题为“History: Einstein was no lone genius”的评论文章，作者为美国明尼苏达大学的Michel Janssen和德国马普所的Jürgen Renn。作者指出，在提出广义相对论的过程中，爱因斯坦并不是一个人孤军奋战，几个名声不显的朋友其实一直与他并肩作战（Lesser-known and junior colleagues helped the great physicist to piece together his general theory of relativity）。他还与著名数学家希尔伯特进行了紧张的优先权竞赛......

Berlin’s physics elite (Fritz Haber, Walther Nernst, Heinrich Rubens, Max Planck（注：不看好广义相对论 的几人) and Einstein’s old and new family (Mileva Einstein-Marić and heir sons Eduard and Hans Albert; Elsa Einstein-Löwenthal and her daughters Ilse and Margot（注：爱因斯坦的两位夫人（Mileva为同学，Elsa为表姐）和孩子们）) are watching as Einstein is pursuing his new theory of gravity and his idée fixeof generalizing the relativity principle while carried by giants of both physics and mathematics (Isaac Newton, James Clerk Maxwell, Carl Friedrich Gauss, Bernhard Riemann（注：爱因斯坦的前辈）) and scientists of lesser stature (Marcel Grossmann, Gunnar Nordström, Erwin Finlay Freundlich, Michele Besso（注：这四人是与爱因斯坦并肩作战的战友)）.

   第二篇，见于《环球科学》（Scientific American中文版）2015年10月刊（爱因斯坦世纪专刊，强烈建议收藏！）。其中有一篇题为“广义相对论背后的故事”，作者是著名的传记作者Walter Isaacson（爱因斯坦传、乔布斯传的作者。他指出“广义相对论是爱因斯坦提出的最著名的理论，但很多人都不知道，在广义相对论的创立过程中交织着爱因斯坦个人生活的冲突、紧张的政治时局，以及与另一位竞争者的科学较量”。

   第三篇，Alistair Shepherd在其Linkedin网站上贴出的一篇题为“The Age of the Lone Genius is over”的文章（2015.11.26）。他对历年的诺贝尔奖获奖人数做了统计，显示除了文学奖外，其它奖项（物理/化学/医学/经济学）的当年分享人数呈逐渐增加趋势。他在文章的结尾也引用了Nature的文章。
