1. Merge two folders (click a folder and drag it to the other folder) and rename the folder to reflect the event (click to rename);

2. Split a folder to two (click the first one for the new event, and go to menu "Events" and choose split);

3. Create a new event from a few chosen photos in a folder (click one photo, hold Command key, and continue clicking; then let go of both hands; go to menu "Events" and choose create);

4. Next steps: create albums to show off my good shots, and then make books and calendars, greeting cards, etc.

I thought that was enough for me to play with for the next month and half while I will be in China. (I wonder if the Apple store in China will honor my one-to-one package.)

Since this lesson was one-hour long, I wanted to learn more tricks. Noah told me that he is lazy, and therefore uses two-finger click a lot, including spelling check. You should try it, too. (I have gradually picking up some tricks while using Mac daily, often accidentally discovering a trick or two.)

Finally, Noeh taught me how to take advantage of Command + z (to recover whatever is lost due to last action).
