A Special Issue on
Self-Assembly of Semiconductor Metal oxide/sulfide Nanostructures
Call for Papers
In recent years, one-dimensional (1D) semiconductor metal oxide/sulfide nanostructures, such as nanowires, nanorods, and nanotubes, have been the intensive research focus for their potential applications in optical, electrical, optoelectronic, photocatalytic, and hydrophilic/hydrophobic fields. To improve the output efficiency of the nanodevices in various fields, assembling nanostructured building blocks into two-dimensional (2D) or three-dimensional (3D) hierarchical structures is necessary This special issue provides a platform to promote mutual communication, information dissemination, and exchange between the scientists, and hence to promote fruitful collaborations on self-assembly of semiconductor metal oxide/sulfide nanostructures.
We invite investigators to contribute original research articles as well as review articles that will stimulate the continuing efforts to understand the assembly mechanism and their underlying novel properties. We are particularly interested in articles describing novel growth approaches, unique physical and chemical properties, and nanodevice applications.
Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
• Assembly of 1D metal oxide/sulfide nanostructures for catalytic applications
• Assembly of 1D metal oxide/sulfide nanostructures for energy applications
•Assembly of 1D metal oxide/sulfide nanostructures for optoelectronics applications
• Assembly of 1D metal oxide/sulfide nanostructures for bioinspired smart material applications
Manuscripts submission
Manuscripts must be prepared according to the Journal’s guidelines, available at http://www.aspbs.com/nnl/inst-auth_nnl.htm. Submit your manuscript in pdf format through only NNL submission portal http://mstracker.com/submit1.php?jc=nnl. Please add the prefix “SI-Self
Assembly” in cover letter and at the beginning of the title of the paper for identifying the paper for this particular issue. All submissions to this special issue will be subjected to a strict peer review process to ensure high quality articles. Please indicate six potential reviewers with their names and email addresses in your cover letter. Be sure that the submitted paper has not been published previously and is not currently submitted for review to any other journal and will not be submitted elsewhere before a final decision is made by this journal.
