Cambridge Neuroscience — connecting multidisciplinary neuroscience research and teaching across the University of Cambridge and affiliated Institutes, with a mission to increase our fundamental understanding of brain function and enhance quality of life
Neuroscience has transformed our understanding of the healthy brain and promises treatments for devastating disorders that affect millions of people. As the search for more effective therapies continues, unravelling the complexities of the brain and mind has become a multi-disciplinary enterprise. Neuroscience now transcends biology and, increasingly, involves novel intellectual alliances such as computational neuroscience, social neuroscience, educational neuroscience, neuroeconomics, neurophilosophy and neuroethics.
Cambridge Neuroscience exists as a virtual centre of excellence with crosscutting research programmes in thematic areas.

CALGB: Canc & Leukemia Grp B: Cancer and Leukemia Group B (CALGB; former name: Acute Leukemia Group B, ALGB) is a cancer research cooperative group in the United States.
CALGB research is focused on seven major disease areas: leukemia, lymphoma, breast cancer, lung cancer, gastrointestinal malignancies, genito-urinary malignancies, and melanoma. In each of these areas, multi-modality treatment programs are designed by national experts in an attempt to cure more patients with cancer. Treatment protocols are carefully developed and monitored and are often coupled with studies of cancer biology, quality of life, pharmacology and cost-effectiveness measures so that improvements in therapy can be placed in the proper clinical perspective in today's health care marketplace. The CALGB pays particular attention to the rights of cancer patients participating in clinical research studies by working with the Department of Health and Human Services' Office for Human Research Protection (OHRP). CALGB is headquartered at the University of Chicago in Chicago, Illinois and maintains its statistical centers at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota and Duke University in Durham, NC.

CRN:
The Cancer Research Network (CRN) is an NCI-funded initiative to support and facilitate cancer research based in non-profit integrated health care delivery settings. The CRN welcomes collaborations that result in research projects that improve knowledge about cancer etiology, prevention, early detection, treatment and prognosis, and that decreases the burden of cancer across the cancer care spectrum. The integrated health care settings provide unique advantages for conducting population sciences research. Through the links below, find out more about the CRN, its activities, and how to develop collaborations with the CRN’s many investigators with expertise in conducting public-domain cancer research in these settings.
