Annie mumi tries to show me how brilliant her hometown is. She hence accompanied me to the concert last Saturday. The topic of this concert was A Taste of Spain played by Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra.

It was the first time that I have ever been to a concert. When I was a little girl, I listened to a local opera in the open air. I could not understand what the actors were singing when there were no captions. When there were captions, I was always wondering why they sang an hour for the content that could be understood in one second even by me, who was just a student in a primary school. Still, I enjoyed standing there listening to something I could not understand at all.

Maybe since then, for me, music has become something like the language I hear in England now. it seems as if I can understand, but while it comes to the detail, I know nothing. Luckily I can check these details in an English dictionary, but unfortunately, there is no dictionary helping me to understand music. I know music is playing and I just indulge myself in the melody even if I cannot understand the content at all.

At this concert, it was amazing that expectations started to stir from the bottom of my heart. The hopes for change came to me silently, and in a corner that I did not even notice, I just felt the coming of what I had prayed for and finally my heart was full of hopes and then all my desires were satisfied. Finally I understood that every musical note was specially prepared for me. I need not understand them, what I need to know is that I am with them and in them!

I know a lot of friends worry about me since I am in a country where I have never been before and I still have some health problems. They are afraid that there are no friends here to take care of me. How can I manage my life in a completely strange place?

As you know I am a Christian. England is predominantly a Christianity country full of Christian brothers and sisters. They are very friendly and try their best to help me. Most important, Jesus is always with me no matter what happens in my life. I really enjoy life here, I even feel at home. Please rest assured that Yuxian will manage everything better and better.

Even working here…… though I do not intuitively love the job, it is hard and sometimes it is difficult to find asolution……but I love the feeling that I am with friends. And working is a way of being with friends, it hence becomes an enjoyable thing in life. Just like the richly melodic programme conjured in A Taste a Spain, it is difficult to understand, but every musical note is prepared just for me……I therefore pray that the Chinese year of the horse will be a successful and productive year for you, with every note prepared specially for you.
