The email to some friends is always refused by some friends. so I pasted my seasoning greetings to friends here

Dear Friends,

Shall I stop doing research and  to do something else? For instant, to become a professional writer? The question has been lingered in my mind after I heard that the new year will bring me two Canon cameras and a portable hard disc as the awards to three excellent essays that was contributed to a blog competition in a famous Chinese blogosphere where the blogger are the Chinese all over the world.

One essay is about a story of my colleague in Tongji University who suffered from stomach cancer (unfortunately I heard just now she was dead in her early forties before this award was issued); I described a scene of the president of Tongji University in a Lunch Salon in the second essay; the third essay is about how my primary school teacher initiated us to go to the world (I wrote this essay for his funeral ceremony).

I also introduced one essay by professor Wouters, Glanzel, Glaser, Rafols in ISSI newsletter for the competition, and regarded it as the reaction of our field to DORA. I suppose this essay was listed in the short list, judging from the number of recommendations. For a small field, it is a result better enough. I also tried to write a series essays on Ningbo conference which was held specially for celebrating 15 years collaboration of prof Ronald Rousseau with Chinese colleagues. But at that time I was preparing my journey to England, I didn’t finish this series essays……, Anyway, these prizes are good presents for the new year, aren’t they? Certainly the reasons I got the prizes are that the main actors in the stories do a very good job that deserved to be recorded. Anyway, I can record them as quite moving stories. So you should be careful someday I record the story of you and me and make me as a Nobel Prize winner for literature.

It is just a joke……but life is so fragile and so beautiful…… we should treasure every moment that our friends share with us.

Moreover, I had already left China and now work at SPRU with Ismael and Michael for a year. In the coming of new year, I, after one and half year of the different therapies and rest, the so-called Ares of Breast Cancer in the blogosphere, are now ready to serve you.
