I have written earlier about the Martin Luther King (MLK) national holiday in the US every January and my wife’s involvement with this event in the town of Lexington. MASS https://blog.sciencenet.cn/blog-1565-1266017.html , and https://blog.sciencenet.cn/blog-1565-1095114.html. In 2022 because of age, she reduced her role in this event to a supporting one. Another Lexington resident, Sara Sheikh, took over . She is most energetic and enthusiastic, and mounted a huge campaign to collect donations to veteran organization and homeless shelters. She increased the donation literally ten fold over previous years. I cannot individually acknowledge every single person who contributed knitting work and money because there were hundreds of contributors (but you know who you are). Instead believing a picture is worth a thousand words, I attached some picture of all the bags of donation (gloves, hats, and blankets) that has accumulated (delivered) in our front hall Due to Sara’s effort before they will be transported and given to the receiving organizations. The photos are in my photo collections in the albums entitled MLK donations.
