I have reported in the past of my good fortunes of having my 50 Ph.D students and my life time employer, Harvard University, helping celebrating my 60th birthday, my 67 year old retirement party, my 70th birthday, my 80th and just to be sure my 85th birthday (since no one and predict ones longevity). But on August 16-17, 2024, as lucky would have it, they once again gathered at the new Harvard Paulson School Engineering Complex in Boston to celebrate my 90th birthday. This is really an unprecedented honor. five generations of students and student of students gathered to shower me with praise, honor, and gifts. As the well known saying goes "If my Father were alive, he will be very proud, and my mother will believe I deserve all the praise and honors".

Just to illustrates the details and effort my former students went to in organizing this event (workshop and celebration), they have elected a special reporter to write a report of the two-day celebratory event, specially made T-shirt for the event were made and given to all attendees as a gift for the occasion, two of my academic family students flew from Beijing China just for this weekend event and have already boarded their return flight. These stories and photos will appear in my future blogs for all to read. Here I am just posting one personal photo of my family (four living generations together) all wearing special T-shirt commemorating the occasion. As both my wife and I said together - what more can one ask and want? Let us hope God does  not become jealous.
