If you ever visit Hawaii, and if you like sashimi, you should try ahi poke. I would strongly recommend the spicy ahi poke at the Safeway in Manoa.

It took me 11 years to learn to like ahi poke, thanks to Jeanie and Yanli.  That was because I was given shoyu (soy sauce) ahi poke in the past, which (mainly the color) reminded me of marinated pork.

If you don’t like sashimi, you can try tofu poke, which I liked immediately.

As a result, I applied for membership at Safeway, after having resisted for so many years… Why did I resist a free membership? I just don’t like membership, period, be it party membership or store membership!
