共同召开一些双方都感兴趣的研讨会，是英国皇家化学会和中国化学会合作协议的一部分。在2010年厦门27届中国化学会年会上，RSC和CCS共同主办了第一届双边研讨会，主题为超分子化学中的前沿科学，共邀请了七位国际国内报告人。本次研讨会吸引了超过300位学生老师参加，会场内座无虚席。会议期间，RSC 和CCS续签了起始于2006年的双方合作协议。

2012年CCS年会将于四月13日到16日在四川大学举办，由于此次年会恰逢中国化学会成立80周年，届时将会邀请包括英国化学会会，美国化学会，日本化学会及德国化学会的最高层参与庆祝。RSC已和CCS达成一致，届时将举办第二届双边研讨会，主题暂定为能源材料。

The Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) and the Chinese Chemical Society (CCS) organised a joint symposium at the 27th CCS Congress inXiamen in June 2010 on the topic of Frontiers of Supramolecular Chemistry.  This was the first time that the RSC and CCS had organised a symposium at the highly successful Chinese Chemical Society meeting.

The 28th CCS Congress in 2012 will be held in Chengdu from 13th to 16th in April. It will be 80 anniversary for CCS this year, and representatives from the German Chemical Society (GDCh), the Chemical Society of Japan (CSJ), the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) and the American Chemical Society (ACS) will be invited to attend the congress. RSC and CCS will co-organize the second joint symposium during the conference.
