*下午和晚上看完了录像片Headline Stories of the Century，实际上是系统而顺序地简要反映20年代以来到1965年时期的有代表性的优秀纪实影片，共107部。介绍说：“107 newsreel stories of personalities, fads, foibles, and bizarre things, from 1920 to 1965.  Throughout their 50 year run on the nation’s movie screens, until they disappeared in the late 1960s, theatrical newsreels featured stories of national disasters, wars, politics, and often upheavals. They usually ended with an odd story, odd personality or the comic side of life. The intent was to ‘lighten-up’ the newsreel based on the premise that Americans came to the movies ‘to get away from it all’ and to do entertained. Watchable over and over, these segments are educational, historical, informative, and infinitely collectible. Capturing the way compiled and edited from the famous Hearst News library. It’s nostalgia at its finest. Some of the 107 newsreel segments included; Rudolph Valentino’s death, Mickey Mouse premieres, the 20s and 30s Dance Marathons, Clark Gable is a Star, Howard Hughes crashes, the FBI and the Gangsters, ‘Wrong Way Corrigan’, Galloping Gerty breaks, Hope and Crosby join USO, one-armed Pete Gray, the Edsel, Hula Hoop craze, Marilyn Monroe, and Elvis in the Army. 2000年4月22日 (星期六)  阴历三月十八,White Plains,雷雨,C9-C12

今天是来美国的第183天,离美国签证居留期限只有今天，延期申请批准签证迄今仍然没有收到，离我们申请表交出的时间已经二个月另12天。雅虎天气预报北京10C-20C，上海11C-22C，哈尔滨2C—15C，NYC，雨9C-11C。因为下雨没有晨练，不过7:15-7:45am在门口练习太极拳。预报明天仍然有雨。

8:10-8:50am,Y和刘乔通了一个很长的电话,她现在一家翻译公司工作,很满意自己的工作。

    从Z的表哥那里得知，他将受在加拿大一家华人开设的公司的委派去上海主持一家分公司。还得悉跃奋将随郑政回国一段再来加。晚上用原来电话（905-456-7223）给付打电话，而没有接通。

   Y和Z全天在为公司起草Porposal ,十分积极，昨夜Y说改到深夜2:00am,不过今天上午和下午Y和Z睡了不少时间,又把损失夺了回来。

    全天继续补写在Disneyland的活动。昨天则是补写Universal Studios的活动，估计整个西部行的补写还要两周时间。
