全球新一轮科技革命和产业革命正在加速,以6G为代表的新一代信息通信技术将为行业转型升级、经济创新注入新动能,进一步促进全球产业融合发展。无线通信将渗透至未来社会的各个领域,不仅支持大带宽需求的浸入式交互体验场景,还将支撑自动驾驶和车联网等超高可靠低时延通信应用,并基于大规模机器类通信广泛服务于工业互联网等。面临后摩尔时代和后疫情时代的重大挑战,无线通信亟需突破原有网络架构体制,提升智能性、安全性、健壮性、宽带性、异构性,通过原生智慧、内生安全、感传算边缘融合等特性形成“由智生简、以简促智”的6G智简无线网络已经成为当前研究的热点和难点。智简无线网络面向领域将从个人通信演进为智能人机物通信,网络节点的功能也将从传统通信演进为通信计算控制缓存一体化,网络架构将侧重云边协同,应用场景包括物联网、无人机网络、卫星通信网络、密集蜂窝网络等多种形态。
为推动该领域的研究,中国工程院院刊《信息与电子工程前沿(英文)》(FITEE)特邀请张平院士担任主编,筹备“智简无线网络理论与技术”专题。将围绕(但不限于)以下主题征稿:

FITEE Special Feature on
Theory and Techniques for Intelligent and Simplified Wireless Networks
Call for Papers
(Submission by June 30, 2021)
With the acceleration of a new round of global scientific, technological, and industrial revolution, the new generation of information and communication technology, i.e., 6G, will inject new momentum to industry transformation and upgrading, as well as to economic innovation and development, which will subsequently promote a global industrial integration. Wireless communications will be ubiquitous in all the areas of future society, supporting novel applications with various performance requirements, such as immersive interactive experience applications requiring large bandwidth, autonomous driving and vehicle-to-everything applications requiring ultra-reliable and low-latency, applications for industrial internet requiring massive machine-type connectivity, among others. Facing the challenges of the post-Moore and post-pandemic eras, wireless communications need a breakthrough on the current network architecture, to improve the intelligence, security, robustness, broadbandness, and heterogeneity.
Against this background, leveraging the inherent intelligence and security, as well as integrating sensing, transmitting, and computing capabilities at the network edge to develop the intelligent and simplified 6G wireless network has been attracting significant attention. Future intelligent and simplified wireless networks will evolve from “human-to-human” communications to intelligent “human-to-machine” communications. The network nodes will also evolve from performing traditional communications only to performing communication, computation, management, and caching in an integrated manner. Moreover, the network architecture will focus on the collaborations between the could and the network edge, and accommodate various applications including Internet of Things (IoT), unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) network, satellite communication networks, and dense cellular networks. To promote research in this field, Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering (FITEE for short) invites Prof. Ping Zhang, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, as the Editor-in-Chief to organize this special feature on “Theory and Techniques for Intelligent and Simplified Wireless Networks.”
Topics of interest include (but are not limited to):
- Information theory on intelligent and simplified wireless networks
- Architecture design of intelligent and simplified wireless networks
- Intelligent and simplified wireless networks for achieving air-space-ground-sea integration
- Key technologies of intelligent and simplified wireless networks for vertical industries
- Resource management for intelligent and simplified wireless networks
- Hardware testbeds and platforms for intelligent and simplified wireless networks
- Applications for intelligent and simplified wireless networks
Review articles, technical articles, and perspectives regarding intelligent and simplified wireless networks are welcome. Collaborative research outcomes of Chinese and foreign scholars are especially encouraged.
Submission Instructions
All submitted manuscripts must be written in English and must not be under consideration elsewhere for publication. Guidelines for authors are available at http://www.jzus.zju.edu.cn/manuscript.php. Either Word or LaTeX format is acceptable. When Word is used, the layout of the text should be in single column, 1.5 lines spacing, 10.5 pt font size, and Times New Roman font. A template is available at http://www.jzus.zju.edu.cn/download/FITEE_LaTex_template.zip. Manuscripts should be submitted via http://www.editorialmanager. com/zusc/ under the article type “S.I. - ISWN”.
Introduction to FITEE
FITEE is an international peer-reviewed journal launched by the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE) and Zhejiang University, co-published by Zhejiang University Press & Springer, and indexed by SCI-E (IF=1.604, 2020 JCR). FITEE aims to publish the latest implementation of applications, principles, and algorithms in the broad area of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. All articles will undergo international peer review and crosscheck processes before they are accepted to ensure high quality.

Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering(简称FITEE,中文名《信息与电子工程前沿(英文)》,ISSN 2095-9184,CN 33-1389/TP)是信息电子类综合性英文学术月刊,SCI-E、EI收录,最新影响因子1.604,进入JCR Q2分区。前身为2010年创办的《浙江大学学报英文版C辑:计算机与电子》,2015年更为现名,现为中国工程院信息与电子工程学部唯一院刊。覆盖计算机、信息与通信、控制、电子、光学等领域。文章类型包括研究论文、综述、个人视点、评述等。现任主编为中国工程院院士潘云鹤、卢锡城。实行国际同行评审制,初次转达意见一般在2~3个月内。文章一经录用将快速在线。
2019年,荣获中国科协等七部委推出的中国科技期刊卓越行动计划项目资助(梯队期刊)。
