Moon2

The time I came back from my office, the moon was already suspending high in the sky.  It was a new moon, so fragile, so pure and so delicate.  The edge of the moon was steaming as if it had just taken a warm bath or baptized on a hot summer day.  I could not afford missing such a new-born creature, I decided to walk home so that I could bathe in the moonlight——a blessing bestowed upon me from the heaven.  It did not take long for me to walk from office to my flat, yet I slowed down my pace to extend the distance.  I was fully intoxicated in the soft moonlight and the happy memory of my childhood when I was huddled by my grandma on many such occasions.  I looked up at the moon where Grandma resides on.  A faint figure was waving hand to me.  "That must be Grandma!" I murmured to myself.  "Yes, you're right, my darling," came the hollow voice from the heaven.  Only then was I more convinced: Grandma is always guarding me, guiding me and granting me wisdom and lovingkindness.  I crossed my hands, closed my eyes until the ribbon of the sun climbed high above the horizon.  That was the longest night I stayed with my grandma after she left this world.  I hope I can be with her forever and renew the old happy days together.
