意外发现一本《布莱克全集》（The Complete Poetry & Prose of William Blake, Anchor Books, 1988），正文近1000页，厚厚的一大本，遗憾的是插图极少，没有收录作者自己画的《经验之歌》（网上有一种彩图本布莱克，忒贵，等降价了买）。

开卷第一篇是ALL RELIGIONS are ONE, the voice of one crying in the Wilderness，原书本来是手绘本（illuminated printing），可惜也没图了。不过Wiki能找到图片，而且有详细的解说（http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/All_Religions_are_One），。我感兴趣的是他的“第一原理”：

PRINCIPLE 1^st  That the Poetic Genius is he true Man. and that the body or outward form of Man is derived from the Poetic Genius. Likewise that the forms of all things are derived from their Genius. which by the Ancients was call'd an Angel & Spirit & Demon.

老布认为“诗魂”（有人捡现成地拿poetic genius做“诗仙”的英译，但这儿似乎不是说人，而是诗的精神）——插图里的云中人物也许就是它的化身——是万物之源，将宗教的权威传给了诗人，让诗人成了宗教的权威，这当然是很浪漫的宗教。

在另一部更有名的作品《天堂与地狱的联姻》（The Marriage of Heaven and Hell）里，他借Ezekiel（希伯来先知）的话，说的更明白：连所有的神都是诗性的附庸（tributaries）：

The philosophy of the east taught the first principles of human perception: some nations held one principle for the origin & some another; we of Israel taught that the Poetic Genius (as you now call it) was the first principle and all the others merely derivative, which was the cause of our despising the Priests & Philosophers of other countries, and prophecying that all Gods would at last be proved to originate in ours & to be the tributaries of the Poetic Genius…
