前些天到希腊雅典参加The 23rd International Congress on Sound andVibration。会共有来自64个国家和地区的七百余名参会者。收到摘要逾千篇,最后报告七百多个。同行评议论文二百多篇。除6个大会报告外,分组报告分15个分会场进行,历时四天。会议有16个Subject Areas,覆盖了26个Regular Sessions和63个Structured Sessions。学术活动之外,会议在Megaron花园进行了Welcome Reception,在扎皮翁宫举办了Banquet Dinner,还组织参观了新卫城博物馆。
在本次会议上,我做了关于非线性隔振系统传递率的分组报告,主要是用均方值代替幅值,这样可以适用于多频、准周期和混沌等情形。会议报告摘要附在后面。报告后,有位东欧的同行提问讨论阻尼的影响。这个工作与陆泽琦博士共同完成。报告经过同行评议。该工作的最终全文形式在JSV上发表。
除自己报告外,还担任了Subject Area T02 Active Noise andVibration Control中题为T02.RS03 Semi-Active Vibration Control的Regular Session Chair。共有七个报告,其中有3个全文经过同行评审。但很遗憾,有两位报告人缺席,都是来自中国大陆。3篇同行评审的论文都报告了。
这个会议的旅行比较辛苦。国内没有直飞希腊的航班。我原先计划在最近的罗马换机。罗马去过两次,相对熟悉些。但这样需要在罗马过夜,可能还需要意大利的签证,外事部门工作人员怀疑不能获批。最后决定在巴黎换机。更是接在伦敦会议后面,北京会议前面。于是有漫长的往返旅途:去程从伦敦飞上海11小时,9个小时后从上海飞巴黎11个小时,停7个小时后,再飞雅典3个小时到;空中25小时,全程41小时。回程从雅典飞巴黎3个小时,戴高乐机场候机等候4小时后飞上海12小时,6小时后再飞北京2小时;空中17小时,全程27小时。
会议的签证也来之不易。前面由于自己和会议方的各种原因,邀请信有些耽搁。送签时已经离启程去英国时间接近了。外事部门工作人员让我考虑是不是要送签,因为不能及时出来英国就无法成行了。我想想,不送希腊肯定不能去,送了最坏英国不能去,还是决定送签。其实我忽略了最坏的情况,英国没有赶上,希腊被拒签了。后来申根国家取指纹时,我又问了一下,希腊领馆工作人员说能出来。事实上,在去英国前两天,希腊的签出来了。以后参加国际会议要全面规划,早些准备,避免这种情况。
明年的ICSV24将在英国伦敦举行。胡海岩院士将做气动噪声和振动方面的大会报告。我的英国签证似乎还有效,如果参会不需要签证了。后年的ICSV25将在日本广岛举行,能不能去现在还说不准。
附:On the Definition of the Transmissibility for Nonlinear Vibration Isolations摘要
Transmissibility is a key parameterto quantify the effectiveness of a vibration isolation system. Under harmonic excitation, the force transmissibility of a linear vibration isolation systemis defined as the ratio between the amplitude of the force transmitted to the host structure and the excitation force amplitude, and the displacement transmissibility is the ratio between the displacement amplitude of the payloadand that of the base. For a nonlinear vibration isolation system, the force or the displacement responses are usually has more frequency components than the excitation. For a harmonic excitation, the response may be periodic,quasi-periodic or chaotic. Therefore, the amplitude ratio cannot well define the transmissibility. The root-mean-square ratio of the excitation and the response is suggested to define the transmissibility. The significance of the modified transmissibility is highlighted in a nonlinear two-stage vibration isolation system consisting of two linear spring connected linear vibration isolators with two additional horizontal linear springs. Harmonic balance method (HBM) is applied to determine the responses with the fundamentals and the third harmonics. Numerical simulations reveal that chaos may occur in the responses. In both cases, the modified transmissibility works while the original definition cannot be applied to chaotic response.
