2012年度诺贝尔化学奖已经于北京时间10月10日17:45公布，由于在“G蛋白偶联受体”方面所作出的突破性贡献，今年的化学奖项授予美国科学家罗伯特·洛夫科维茨(Robert J. Lefkowitz)以及布莱恩·克比尔卡(Brian K. Kobilka)。
罗伯特·洛夫科维茨于1943年出生于美国纽约，于1966年在美国哥伦比亚大学获得硕士学位。目前担任美国霍华德·休斯医学研究所研究员，并在美国杜克大学医学中心担任詹姆斯·杜克医学教授，生物化学教授。
