国务院张璐的经典翻译

张璐，连续6年总理记者会上翻译两会总理的演说，其中不乏古典警句，不容易。

友人传来其中一些精彩段落，转贴这里。如果是即时口译，没有看过原稿，是不可多得。

下面的例子只有一例稍有问题，其他都很好。我提供一款比较口语化，更简短，仅供参考。

1.守職而不廢 處義而不回。

I will not waver and carry out my duties, and will remain true to my conviction.

("I will not waver AND carry" can be ambiguous. I edit it as follows.)

I will carry out my duties without wavering, and will remain true to my conviction.

2.入則懇懇以盡忠，出則謙謙 以自悔。

Goes officials should serve as loyal as they can conscientiously when they are in office and engage in modest self-reflection when their terms end.

(The word "Goes" seems to be out of place. Misprint?)

Officials should be loyal conscientiously in office and reflective in modesty when out.

3.知我罪我，其惟春秋。

There are people who will appreciate what I have done but there are also people who will criticize me, ultimately, history will have the final say.

Only history will judge me on my credits and flaws.

4.苟利國家生死以，豈因禍福 避趨之。

In line with the conviction that I will do whatever it takes to serve my country even at the cost of my own life,regardless of fortune or misfortune to myself.

I am convicted to dedicating my life to serve the country, thick or thin.

5.骨肉之親，析而不殊。

Brothers, though geographically apart will always be bound by their blood ties.

Siblings, bound by blood, are not separable by distance.

6.如將不盡，與古為新。

It is only with reform that we can ensure continuous existence and growth.

Even classics may be subject to further renewal and innovation.

7.行百里者半九十。

That is half of the people who have embarked on a one hundred mile journey may fall by the wayside.

The last mile is what finished the journey.

8.亦余心之所向兮，雖九死其 猶未悔。

For the ideal that I hold dear to my heart, I will not regret a thousand depth to die.

My devotion may drive me to death a thousand times without regret.

9.人或加訕，心無疵兮。

My conscience stays untainted inspite of rumors and slanders from the outside.

My conscience is incorruptible by rumors and slanders.

张璐是我国外交部翻译室英文处副处长，高级翻译，胡锦涛主席、温家宝总理的首席翻译。2010年全国两会温家宝总理记者招待会上，张璐作为翻译出现，是五年来首次起用女翻译。2011年因在两会记者会现场流利地翻译温总理引用的古诗词，坐在总理身边的张璐也受到众人追捧，走红网络，其微博点击排名甚至超过刘翔。
　张璐出生于1977年，是外交学院国际法系1996级学生，2000年毕业，她不仅有着端庄典雅的外貌，而且天资聪慧，曾在伦敦一所大学学习外交学专业，并且拿到了硕士学位。现任中国外交部翻译室英文处副处长，有着丰富的高翻经验，是胡锦涛主席、温家宝总理的首席翻译。也是重要对外场合的首席翻译之一，外界普遍赞赏她反应敏捷、举止优雅。
