It is not an overstatement that MONEY is a great invention of modern economics. It frees us from the inefficient barter economy and let human civilization grow much more efficiently and universally. However, Money also has its dark side. Because of its universality and anonymity, it makes corruption much easier. “Money talks” and “Follow the money” are two phrases everyone knows and understands. It also sets easily understood goals for people to strive for. I still remember back in the ‘50s, the ad of “making 10K annual salary before you are 30 years old”. Nowadays the goal of 100K annual salary before 30 years old seemed rather modest. I also remember the day and my pleasure when I realized that starting with nothing except a good education our family net worth reached $100K. And with the simple strategy of “Save, Buy, Diversify, and Hold” over a lifetime time my wife and I can now comfortably retired as upper middle class in a CCRC (Continuous Care Retirement Community) is another example for success and in a capitalistic economy available to anyone willing to work hard and take advantage of opportunity and freedom available in a country such as the US.. all you need are:

1. Believe in the future of the counyry you resdie in - otherwise move to a different place

2. "Save, Buy, Diversify, and Hold"  - don't try to trade or compete with finace professionals. Do what you love and have been trained for. - but no one know your risk tolerance and family situation than yourself

3. If you are so inclined, let "managing your famil;y networth" as a hobby - It is one hobby that does not cost but can grow your family wealth.

4. In the mean time, be kind to others, work hard, and enjoy your life. Yur golden years are in the future
