Auditory Processing and AphasiaFriday December 16, 2011

The workshop starts at 9:30 with coffee and tea and ends at 16:30.
It will take place in room 901 (building next to the Academy Building).

Preliminary schedule:

09:30

Coffee/Welcome

10:00-10:45

Prof. Ria De Bleser, University of Potsdam
Title: Cerebral correlates of auditory temporal processing in brain damaged people

10:45-11:30

Prof. Wolfram Ziegler, Entwicklungsgruppe Klinische Neuropsychologie, München
Title: Speaker-listener adaptation in healthy adults and after stroke

11:30-12:15

Prof. Peter Mariën, Free University of Brussels, Middelheim Ziekenhuis Antwerpen
Title: tba

12:15-13:45

Lunch Break

13:45-14:30

Dr. David Copland, The University of Queensland, Australia
Title: Neural correlates of phonological facilitation of naming in healthy individuals and aphasia

14:30-15:15

Dr. Deniz Başkent, UMC Groningen
Title: Hearing impairment can tip the balance between bottom-up speech cues and the top-down compensation

15:15-15:45

Tea and Coffee

15:45-16:30

Dr. Dicky Gilbers, University of Groningen
Title: Force of articulation and the perception of a foreign accent
