目前,Phenomics期刊开设专刊“HUMAN GUT MICROBIOME: CHALLENGES AND FUTURE DIRECTIONS”,接收人体肠道微生物组研究领域相关的论著、综述、短评、研究方法等,投稿范围包括但不限于:01核心肠道菌群的探索与讨论;
02菌株水平基因及功能多样性的研究;
03肠道微生物定量方法及相关进展;
04培养组学的最新研究;
05肠道菌与人体健康之间的因果机制研究;
06肠道细菌、病毒及真菌之间的互作;
07靶向肠道微生物的临床干预研究;
08肠道表型组与精准医学。

We are pleased to invite you to submit articles, reviews, protocols, brief communications and correspondence to the special issue entitled ' Human Gut Microbiome: Challenges and Future Directions' of Phenomics, a new high-quality journal from Springer Nature, which is dedicated to publishing the finest articles on the emerging field of phenomics.
As the human body's second genome and a newly recognized "metabolic organ", the gut microbiome is linked to almost every aspect of human health across the lifespan. However, due to the vast diversity and intricate complexity observed in the configurations of the human gut microbiome, this field of research presents unprecedented opportunities alongside significant challenges.
In this particular issue of Phenomics, our focus will be on exploring these challenges and drawing inspiration from them to shape future research directions. The topics covered in this issue include, but are not limited to:
-Defining the healthy and core gut microbiome;
-Unveiling bacterial strain differences and functional diversity;
-Robust profiling of gut bacteria: DNA and RNA;
-Culturing the ‘nonculturable’;
-From association to causal studies;
-From intra- to inter-kingdom interactions;
-From bench to bedside;
-From microbiome to phenome and precision medicine.
Submission instructions:
Before submitting your manuscript, please ensure you have carefully read the Submission Guidelines for Phenomics. The complete manuscript should be submitted online through: https://www.editorialmanager.com/pnmc.
To ensure that you submit to the correct special issue, please select the appropriate special issue title under the 'Additional information' tab upon submission. In addition, indicate within your cover letter that you wish your manuscript to be considered as part of the special issue ' Human Gut Microbiome: Challenges and Future Directions '.
All submissions will undergo rigorous peer review as per the journal's editorial policy. Accepted articles will be published within the journal as a collection.
For any questions about a potential submission of this special issue, please contact Dr Hao Wu (hao_w@fudan.edu.cn) or the editorial office of Phenomics (phenomics@fudan.edu.cn) using ‘Human Gut Microbiome: Challenges and Future Directions’ as the email title.
