谈谈学术文章的国籍问题

    最近许培扬老师发表了一系列文章讨论中国科学家在一些杂志上发表文章的数量,可以说很有意义,感兴趣的博友可以看许老师的博客。http://blog.sciencenet.cn/home.php?mod=space&uid=280034
    其中许老师的关于PRL的文章引起了我的兴趣,《2011年中国科学家在Phys Rev Lett发表论文125篇》。我做了进一步的思考,以此来讨论学术文章的国籍问题。
    学术是没有国籍的,但是科学家是有国籍的,那么体现学术成果的文章有没有国籍性呢?这个只能是仁者见仁,智者见智了。
    PRL在物理学界的地位非常高,可以说是物理学界的永远也写不完的圣经。能够在该杂志上发表文章也是中国物理学家很值得骄傲的事情。
    许老师的文章是关于2011年一年的,文章太多,这里我查了下半年的结果,可以说许老师的数字是正确的,但是还需要进一步说明。
    2011年下半年,有中国大陆标记的中国大陆科学家在PRL上发表文章74篇,其中完全署名中国大陆的文章19篇。

评论

一 半年中,完全由中国大陆署名的文章达到19篇,可以说的确是一个很不错的进步,尽管数字不大,但是很有意义。

二 19篇中有11篇文章为中科院所作或合作,可以看到中科院和中国大学在学术研究上各占一半江山,中国大学的学术效率不高。

三 剩余的55篇,有一些文章几乎都是大陆学者完成的,能有十几篇,有一些文章基本上就是外国人做的,只是其中有的作者挂了个中国大陆的地址,能有十几篇,剩下的基本上是合作的文章,是共同完成的。

四 学术是没有国籍的,所以文章也是没有国籍的。但是一些大陆的科学家把自己参与的文章看成是自己所作的,而中国一些官方人员统计文章的时候也把一些署名大陆的但是与国外合作的算作自己的,是不是一个问题呢?

五 对于学术的问题,我们还是实事求是的好。从数据结果上看,中国在过去的十年,学术的确取得进步,但是从十年角度来看,这是一个一般性的结果,学术水平的进步我认为比一般程度可能还要低一些。虽然发表在PRL上的文章多了,但是系统性的工作在过去的十年可以是屈指可数,和学术自身的进步水平相差太多。中国的大部分学术工作依然不高,水分太大。
