Toward a Universal Understanding of the Scaling Laws in Human and Animal Mobility
This paper attempts to present a universal understanding of the laws of human and animal mobility.
In this attempt, the paper more or less fails. I am not convinced that it is an adequate universal explanation.
However, I found the paper quite fascinating for a number of reasons, and highly recommend publication in EPL, provided some changes are made (see below). The use of the Shannon entropy to study random searches, for example, is very interesting. The main results are also very interesting.
