2020年6月,Chinese Physics B(CPB)发起“量子计算与量子模拟”专题的征稿和邀请,期望以专题的形式集中发表体现国内外量子计算、量子信息及量子模拟研究领域最新进展的原创和综述文章。在客座编辑、作者、审稿专家和编辑部的共同努力下,本专题历时一年,已陆续发表38篇论文(包括8篇综述,30篇原始论文)。编辑部已将这些论文整理并在编辑部网站Special Topic 栏目集中展示,还将单独印刷抽印本免费发放,以方便读者的查阅并提升本专题的影响力。
近年来,量子计算与量子模拟的研究发展迅速,有望形成变革性技术并获得广泛应用。因此,各国政府都非常重视,将其视为下一代信息产业的重要组成部分。现今公众的期望和关注度已超越研究领域本身,这一方面促进了更多人才和资本的进入,另一方面不可避免会产生过分乐观的预期。从学科发展本身来说,大量的创新性成果也需要评估和总结,不同技术路线也需互相借鉴。浏览CPB“量子计算与量子模拟”专题下的这些文章,既可为领域内科研人员提供某具体研究方向的详细进展和原创成果,也可为初学者和更多读者提供对此领域发展现状的专业判断和科学描述。
本专题发表的文章涵盖较为广泛的内容,包括量子计算实现的技术路线有超导系统、里德堡原子系统、核磁共振系统、离子阱系统、拓扑系统、光学系统等;内容方面既有量子器件制备,也有各种量子计算和量子模拟的方案研究,如态制备、传递、测控、门操作、算法、机器学习及多体动力学等;同时也有量子信息基本理论、低温实验系统技术等内容。这些文章很多都出自国内领先的代表性课题组,相信会为读者提供一个权威的、全景式的科学视图,并促进整个量子科技研究领域的交流与发展。
去年我们酝酿组织此专题是基于当时此研究领域的蓬勃发展和公众开始普遍关注的形势,在专题投、审稿期间,国家明确指出“量子科技发展具有重大科学意义和战略价值,是一项对传统技术体系产生冲击、进行重构的重大颠覆性技术创新,将引领新一轮科技革命和产业变革方向”,使得此专刊具有了时代背景下的特殊意义。
处于现今复杂多变的世界环境,支持国内期刊,提高其学术影响力,使之长期稳定健康发展,我国科研人员是其中最具影响的关键因素;而中国期刊在各个研究领域影响力和话语权的提高,反过来也会扩大其科研成果的传播面和受众范围。因此,办好中国自己的刊物,扩大其影响,我们广大物理科研工作者既是贡献者也是受益者。CPB是国内物理类综合性英文学术期刊中的大刊,更需要国内物理界同仁的更多关注和支持!
