To finish the installation successfully you need to install the "png" package and set the PATH of pgplot and tempo2. (if you don't have the pgplot,tempo2 or cfitsio, you should follow the hint and install those three softwares haha)
when you do the "make install", you have to create two directories xxx/bin/psrchive and xxx/bin/psrchive_install ( I have encounterd the error twice, no such file or directory). It's so weird, don't know why.
1. use git clone git://git.code.sf.net/p/psrchive/code psrchive to download SRC.(if you don't have git install it.)
2. install the GNU autotools
3. run bootstrap
4. check the information that bootstrap gives you.
5. ./configure
6. If any error happens, do what the error hint says.( ./packages/fftw.csh ./packges/pgplot.csh or something else, if you don't have the fftw3 libraries .. or tempo2 pgplot or cfitsio)
7. after the installation of tempo2 or pgplot please set the PATH manually,
# Tempo2 export TEMPO2=/usr/local/tempo2
# PGPLOT export PGPLOT_DIR=$SOFTWARE_DIR/pgplot
(if you don't have patch or png or something else you should install it manually)
8.after you finished the installation you should set the LD_LIBRARY_PATH of some xxx.so.1 like that, see another document in my Qzone.
