TO: Young scholars wishing to establish communication relationship with me

I receive request from young Chinese scholars exclusively almost daily/weekly via RESEARCH GATE or LINKEDIN who wish to establish communication and learn from me. I admire their desire to learn. Generalized questions such as “Tell me how to  . .  .?” can not be adequately answered in a few sentences. Nor is it realistic for me to become the private tutor/teacher for everyone. At my advanced age, I don’t have the time nor the energy as well as the obligation to do so. Besides I have been writing a blog for the past 17 years for precisely this purpose. Most of the questions young scholars wishing to know the answers to have probably been addressed there already. Thus, I always refer the writers  to my blogs and restrict myself to only answer simple yes/no and/or specific questions.
