In retirement, I do watch a lot of TV. Mostly I watch news program, political talk shows, and old movies. The last category brings back memories and nostalgia. However, I seldom watch the You Tube channel unless prompted by other messages or recommendation from friends. However, the other night while enjoying a very late night snack (at about 2:00 am) I accidentally tuned into a favorite old song on the You Tube channel and discovered tons of YouTube video clips (from 1950 when early TV started to the present) ranging from songs, well known, TV/movie segments, inspirational speeches, favorite old movies and other recorded memorable moments of the past 70+ years. Next thing I know it was 5:00 am (3 hours later) and time to get up. So without going back to bed I did other things and can't wait to tell my wife as soon as she woke about this new discovery of mine. Her reply: what do you think I have been doing on my iPad late at night in bed while you sleep and doing on my MAC in my spare time during the day? Apparently there is a Chinese language section of YouTube where you can get similar stuff aimed at Chinese Intertnet viewers which also happens to be the question I was going to google for answer. As the well known saying goes: "The man of the house is always the last one to know". For my friend who are also the last ones to know, here are two samples for you to sample:
