This winter a previously unemphasized problem with all electric automobiles surfaced in the US that caused inconvenience with owners of these all electric vehicles. During winter months in North America, a large portion of the US can have freezing temperature all day long. Apparently the batteries in these all EV can be effectred by lower temperatures withn the result they behave essentially as dead batteries and even refused to be charged. Newspaper show pictures of EV being abandoned on the road side and at charging stations. More research and development of better batteries are needed before EV can become popular and replacing gasoline fule autos. Despite climate change concerns, gasoline will not be replaced any time soon
