Fornew readers and those who request to be “好友 good friends” please read my 公告栏 first.
Nine years earlier I wrote about the graduation of our youngest daughter 小女儿毕业典礼http://blog.sciencenet.cn/blog-1565-2438.html in Baltimore. This May our youngest grandchild (granddaughter Kathleen Ho) graduates from high school in Palo alto CA (June 3rd 2016) and is heading for college in the Fall. In the US, college graduations are usually attended by parents since the space to accommodate relatives of the graduates are limited for a large graduating class. Generally only two tickets are allocated per students. Parents who usually paid for the education are logical attendees. Thus, grandparents tends to attend high school graduations only. Besides, not all grandparents live to attend the college graduation of their grandchildren. We are lucky to see three of our grandchildren graduating from college up to now and three more graduating in the next four years. With a little of bit luck we may even enjoy the Chinese fortune of seeing the fourth generation (四代同堂). In any case, here are some pictures taken to mark the occasion. In particular compare one of the photos similar with the same in my article nine years ago. We count our blessings.
