英文摘要要求一般不超过200个词，用这些词写出一个有文采的引人入胜的摘要见功底。

摘要的开始介绍研究的背景，目前其他研究存在的不足，引出自己所做研究的必要性。接下来介绍自己的实验。有的论文摘要中找不到实验手段，这样不好，实验手段是摘要一个重要组成部分。接下来介绍得到的实验结果。最后一句简略地点出这个结果的意义。我想如果能写好摘要那么一篇文章能顺畅地表达肯定也不会有太大的问题。

找到我比较喜欢的一篇英文文章研究了下它的摘要，初步发现有几个特点：

1.  动词考究。

2.  句子不惮复杂，但是逻辑清晰。

3.  用词表达严谨、形象。

分解一下这个摘要：

第一句背景介绍。“近些年，由于能探查越来越有挑战性的问题，计算机的作用得到了巨大的发挥。”要表达这个意思，如果用中式思维中翻英的话我大概会这样表达：During the recent years, the power of computer has been greatly developed, owing to its ability of examining increasingly more challenging problems. 语法没问题，意思也表达清楚了，可是一对比人家的句子，相形见绌，“Recent years have seen an explosion in computer power, allowing for the examination of ever more challenging problems.” 第一句就高端地让我感叹，要写出这样的句子，那就只有在写论文的时候尽量用英语的思维。在写文章的时候需要表达这种意思的时候很多，所以我决定把这句话背下来，知识点太多，结构太精妙了。用18个词表达了我用22个词才表达出来的意思，用词更高级更精准。

Allow for在牛津字典里的英文释义是provide possibility for … ，明显比due to its ability of, because it could更精准, 表示的意思是不是一定能怎么样，而是提供了可能性。

… Have seen/witnessed … 这种用法见过，但是真想不起来用啊！

Ever more 挺好用，用increasingly more应该也可以，但是肯定比more and more书面一些

最后感觉explosion 这个词用的有一点像汉语中的暗喻，当然她的英文释义中有a large, sudden or rapid increase in the amount or number of sth激增，猛增的一项，但考虑到它的本意是爆炸，所以作为读者我的阅读感受比用increase生动多了，感觉到了作者想要表达的计算机应用又迅速又猛烈的增长。

感叹于allow for这个短语的恰当使用，我扩展了几个经常遇见的短语，给了它们的英文释义，有的可以替换使用，有的有细微的不同：

其实其中好几个介词短语就是considering，concerning的变相表达，这俩词用好了也不错呢

还有最常用的show，和它近义的词很多，看情况灵活使用不呆板：

Suggest:  state sth indirectly, imply

Exhibit: show clearly that one possess…

Display: show signs of having…

Reveal: cause or allow sth to be seen

Imply: hint suggest sth indirectly rather than state it directly

Indicate: be a sign of sth; suggest the possibility or probability

It is visible that…

It can be noticed that…

… 挺多的，但是都是各种show，明面的show，暗示的show，含糊的show。
