My Hometown
I was born in Chengde of Hebei Province, which is a fascinating city and located 260 kilometers northeast to Beijing. It is a good place to live in for the pretty cool summer and there are more than 3.5 million peoples living in it.
Chengde is an industrial & agricultural city. It has the most famous almond juice with the brand LULU, which is very familiar in the northern China, and you could find it at any store, restaurant and supermarket. At the countryside, there are two living ways: one is farmers, who live in the mountain areas and plant corn, millet, soybean, peanut, etc. The other is herders, who graze on grassland, distributed in Weichang County north of Chengde.
Chengde is also a charming city for touring. It has the China’s largest imperial garden named The Imperial Summer Villa, the largest Buddhism temple in the northern China with the largest wooden buddha in the world. Moreover, the natural scenery is fascinating, especially the red autumnal leaves in autumn and the icy and snowy world in winter.
The peoples living in Chengde, regardless of the town people, the farmers or herders are enjoyed in their life. Usually, they are kindly and like to chat together after dinner wile walking along the neat avenue or be seated at some corners of the towns or the villages in summer and drop around in winter.
I love my hometown very much for it is really a nice city to live in!
