张星元：包容一切的寂静之声
陈伟老师在博文（http://159.226.26.14/blog/user_content.aspx?id=232430）中推荐了英语歌曲《The Sound of Silence》（点击歌名见视频节目 ），这是1967年上映的奥斯卡获奖作品《毕业生》的插曲，很感人。我喜欢保罗•西蒙的这首歌，这是一首听第一遍就可以打动人，多年后仍使听者动容的歌曲。当然应该用英语唱，但为了加深理解，我试着把它的歌词译成中文，与网友切磋。

梦幻轻柔地弥漫过来，
Left its seeds while I was sleeping
在我睡着的时候把种子撒落在，

触摸了寂静之声。

在的暴露无遗的灯光下，
Ten thousand people
我看见成千上万，
maybe more
也许更多的人：
People talking without speaking
交谈而没有用嘴，
People hearing without listening
听见而没有用耳，
People writing songs that voices never share
谱写歌曲却从不与人同唱，
And no one dare disturb the sound of silence
（似乎）没有人敢打扰这寂静之声。
"Fools" said I, "You do not know
我说：“傻瓜，你们真的不知道
Silence like a cancer grows”
沉默看来有滋生社会恶习的可能?！”
Hear my words that I might teach you
听我说可能对你有教益的话，
Take my arms that I might reach to you
挽住我伸给你的手臂。
But my words like silent as raindrops fell
只因为我的话无声犹如飘落的雨滴，
And echoed in the wells of silence
却会在寂静的水井里发生共鸣。
And the people bowed and prayed
人们低头祈祷，
to the neon god they made.
朝着他们自造的霓虹之神；
And the sign flashed out its warning
霓虹闪现警示信号，
And the words that it was forming
构成字句，
And the sign said:
晓谕芸芸众生：
"The words of the prophets are written on the subway walls
“先知的话都已写在地铁的墙上，
and tenement halls
公寓的门厅里 ；
And whispered in the sound of silence."
先知的话已和声细语地融入了寂静之声。”
