数字地形分析的国际学者从这个研究方向发展出一个学科名称——地貌计量学（Geomorphometry），2009年Elsevier出版社出的《Geomorphometry: Concepts, Software, Applications》第一版非常成功，所以15年后，Geomorphometry国际学会着手组织更新第二版，历经近3年，近期终于上线了（原定是去年出版，由于逐章交稿审稿修改校对的可理解延迟，跳票了）。

其中，我牵头重新撰写了其中关于水文建模中的地形分析进展一章：

Abstract: Geomorphometry is fundamental for spatial hydrological modeling as well as the following applications based on spatial hydrological models. Starting with a brief description on spatial hydrological modeling, this chapter presents the key roles of using both terrain features and topographic attributes in spatial hydrological modeling, as well as the advances of terrain units and their spatial gradation information supporting the beneficial management practices (BMP) scenario analysis and optimization based on spatial hydrological modeling. Different types of geomorphometric tools for spatial hydrological modeling are also described, in a perspective towards automated, flexible, till intelligent functionalities for better adapting to complex application context.

过程中比较有趣的一点是关于第二版中对第一版内容使用的版权，经过我们反复向出版社询问，得到的确认是第一版中对应章节的文字和图片可以直接复用（即使我牵头撰写的这一章，和第一版对应章节的作者已经完全不同！），这个很出我意料。虽然出版社那边说没问题，最后我还是对我牵头撰写的章节，出于承继性考虑而沿用上一版对应章节的一张图和几句话时，对老章节做了引用，原图名说明和正文中整句引用时都加了引号，这样觉得更踏实些 ：）
