It was a nightmare,

When the mother earth quivered,

And there gone thousands of my compatriots,

In a split second.

 

You may cry,

For those who are buried under debris,

And for those who lost their homes;

Or you may be moved to tears,

For the rescuers who fight at the front line,

Disregarding the danger of aftershocks,

And for those who get their new lives out of the remains,

After hundreds of hours.

 

The whole world are united more tightly than ever,

At this moment,

Every one is a soldier,

Fighting against the disaster,

As long as there is still one breathing under the rubble.

 

It was a nightmare,

When the quake smashed buildings,

Destroyed the mountains and rivers,

But it shall never make us frustrated.

Because we are all standing together,

And in our hearts,

Deeply loving each other.
