- Eduard Tufte's's “How not to lie" rules
- 关于visual encoding的effectiveness and expressiveness principles
尤其是这三个rules: No 3D, Visualization Mantra (“overview first, zoom and filter, details on demand”), eyes beat memory
Contrast, Repetition, Alignment, Proximity
4. 完整的evaluation: case studies, comparison with baseline system(s), expert interview, user study (optional)

Aesthetic issues
· Check that line/page breaks occur at sensible locations (no page starts from a line with a single word)
Check the references
· Completeness (No missing page numbers, conference name, journal issue, and year)
· Consistency (Made sure that a journal title, no matter how often it occurs, is always spelled the same way?)
High-level issues
· Normalization
· Parallel structure
· Cohesion
o Do your sentences "hang together?”
o Does the sentence/paragraph begin with information familiar and end with interesting information the reader would not anticipate?
o Will your reader be able to identify quickly the "topic" of each paragraph?
