I have been asked more than once if I am willing to translate a manuscript in Chinese into English. My answer is always "no." The reasons are simple: I don't have time, and I don't want to charge my clients for time-consuming work, such as translation.

This morning, I received an email from a new client, who told me the paper I edited for him earlier this year has been accepted and asked me for advice about English translation.

First, you prepare your Chinese paper by inserting key words and terminology. Do you know how to do that? If not, send me a paper and I will show you how.

Then, look for a company that has editors' profiles. You want to use an English editor that has similar background as yours. If you cannot find a company that has editors in your field, I am willing to edit your translated papers.
