最近我发现了一个不错的单词view，这个词看起来普通，说实话我可能初中就知道了这个词，但是我并没有真正掌握它。我学到的只是在教科书中经常出现的一个含义，“看”。但事实上它有很多其他的含义和用法非常适合在科技论文中使用，比如“观点”。事实上我在scopus上查到它在科技文献中的使用次数是非常多的，多数来自于母语国家或英语为官方语言的国家作者写作的文章。view组成的短语简单好记，看起来既高级又实用，单独使用也很简单容易，可以说可盐可甜。

下面的例子是从Scopus文献库的科技论文摘要中提取的，用法都很规范和有代表性。我归纳了一下，这个词在这些科技论文摘要中最常见的用法大概有9种（包括名词词性和动词词性），先从使用频率高的说起吧。

常见用法一：

Point of view / viewpoint

1. 观点；态度；意见；看法; 2. 考虑角度；判断方法

From a layer thickness and feed rate point of view, it is observed that ductility decreases as layer thickness and feed rate increase.[1]

从层厚和加料速度的角度来看，随着层厚和加料速度的增加，塑性降低。 

Then, four main compromises between the TE properties are elaborated from the point of view of the underlying mechanisms and decoupling strategies. [2]

然后，从基本机制和解耦策略的角度阐述了TE性质之间的四个主要折衷方案。

This is contrary to the usual viewpoint.[3]

这与通常的观点相反。

点评：我觉得即使是在比较正式一个发言中，想要比较全面地表达自己的观点，都需要分多个角度陈述，何况是一篇严谨的论文了。所以这个短语真的会使用率特别高。“从这个角度，从那个角度。。。”

常见用法二：

习语in view of

鉴于；考虑到；由于。

In view of the climate changes caused by the continuously rising levels of atmospheric CO₂, advanced technologies associated with CO₂ conversion are highly desirable.[4]

鉴于大气中二氧化碳含量不断上升所造成的气候变化，与二氧化碳转化有关的先进技术是非常可取的。

In view of相当于considering sth，on account of。 一篇论文这几个词可以换着使用。

点评：用多了due to, because of, owing to和on account of, in view of是个不错的新鲜不常用用法。

常见用法三：

理解或解释某问题的方法、方式（通常是单数形式出现，与of连用）

This review provides an updated view of the global epidemiology of T2DM, as well as dietary, lifestyle and other risk factors for T2DM and its complications.[5]

该综述提出了有关全球2型糖尿病的流行病学以及2型糖尿病及其并发症的饮食、生活方式和其他危险因素的新理解。

It is necessary to have an across-the-board view of the microgrid integration in power systems.[6]

有必要对电力系统中的微电网集成有一个全面的认识。

点评：上面的两个例句中，如果用understanding来替换view（说实话别的词一时还真不好找），就显得比较口语化了。View的这个意思似乎是为科技论文量身定制的。在文章摘要中，可以用，比如上面的两个例句，都是摘要中用的。在引言中，也一定会总结一下过去的研究提出了什么样的解决方法，然后顺势亮出本文的研究价值，这种情况下也可以用。

常见用法四：

态度，意见，想法，见解（常以复数形式出现，与on/about搭配）

We also provide views on understanding the stability of the cathode and electrolyte and examine design principles for better lithium-air batteries.[7]

我们还提出了理解阴极和电解液稳定性的见解，并探讨了更好的锂空气电池的设计原则。

Silver nanoparticles: A new view on mechanistic aspects on antimicrobial activity[8]

银纳米粒子：抗菌作用机理的新观点

An insightful view about individual siRNA and miRNA drugs has been depicted with their present status, which is gaining attention in the therapeutic landscape. [9]

一个关于siRNA和miRNA药物的独到见解已经被用来描述了它们的现状，这在治疗领域正受到关注。

点评：这么简单又地道的词我从前居然不会用！和它相比，idea，opinion这些词表达的范围感觉就比较狭窄了。第二个例句就是一篇论文的题目，view用在这里很有画面感。真的很有借鉴价值！

常见用法五：

把…视为；以…看待（与as搭配）相当于regard as

 In our opinion, evidence of the effectiveness of these actions shows that they are moving in the right direction, but governments should view them as a learning process and improve their design over time. [10]

我们认为，证明这些行动有效的证据表明，这些行动正朝着正确的方向发展，但各国政府应将其视为一个学习过程，并随着时间的推移改进其设计。

Lastly, the WiggleTools package enables users to summarize large collections of data sets and view them as single tracks in Ensembl. [11]

最后，WiggleTools包允许用户总结大量的数据集集合，并在Ensembl中将它们视为单轨进行查看。

点评：regard...as... 的一个完美的替换用法。

常见用法六：

视野，可见。常见用法Come into view进入视野 

In the cancer setting, a newfound appreciation for neutrophils has come into view.[12]

在癌症的背景下，一种新发现的对中性粒细胞的理解已经进入视野

点评：“发现了什么”有了一个高级一点的表达方法。

常见用法七：

看，查看 （动词词性） 

The facility to view the relationship between families within a clan has been improved by the introduction of a new tool.[13]

通过引入一种新的工具，查看部族内部家庭关系的工具得到了改进。

Predictions are now presented in SVG format with options to view full multiple sequence alignments with and without gaps and insertions. [14]

预测现在以SVG格式显示，可以选择查看完整的多序列比对，有间隙和插入，也可以没有间隙和插入。

点评：examine，find out这些词是不是用的太多了？换一下View用用真的不错。

非常见用法一：

with a view to sth/to doing sth 为了，指望，有做某事的打算和希望

Over the last couple of decades, metropolitan areas around the world have been engaged in a multitude of initiatives aimed at upgrading urban infrastructure and services, with a view to creating better environmental, social and economic conditions and enhancing cities' attractiveness and competitiveness.[15]

在过去的几十年里，世界各地的大都市都参与了一系列旨在提升城市基础设施和服务的举措，以期创造更好的环境、社会和经济条件，增强城市的吸引力和竞争力。

点评：aiming at, with the aim of见得很多了，但是很少见到with a view to doing的这个用法，但是母语写作的人还真用。

非常见用法二：

可看到的东西what you can see

Single-cell genomics and proteomics enable not only precise characterization of cell state, but also provide a stunningly high-resolution view of transitions between states. [16]

单细胞基因组学和蛋白质组学不仅能够精确描述细胞状态，而且还提供了状态间转换的高分辨率视图。

点评：几乎每篇文章都有图做支撑。image, photograph, micrograph这些词是介绍这些图必用的。但是View在例句中好像又不能和这些词替换使用，相似例句比较难找，所以这个用法我目前还没太搞清楚。
