Job Summary:
The Biological Research Center at National Institute of Biological Sciences Beijing (NIBS) is searching for a highly motivated, detail-oriented, organized, and enthusiastic postdoctoral fellow to conduct research on the role of tumor virus in human tumorigenesis. Our research focuses on how Kaposi's sarcoma-associated herpesvirus (KSHV), a tumor virus, interacts with host cells to cause two distinct human cancers: Kaposi's sarcoma (KS) and primary effusion lymphoma (PEL). The candidate will carry out the in-depth studies to reveal the molecular mechanisms underlying KSHV infection and cellular reprogramming. Primary activities include carrying out cell culture, molecular and biochemical assays and characterizing transgenic/knockout mouse models.
