If you want to save all the variables and calculation results in your workspace for a break, say lunch or coffee break, you can save the workspace before you leave and load it when you are back.

There are 2 ways to save matlab worksapce:

1. Click "Save Workspace" under HOME menu, and choose a name and path for the .mat file.

2. Type in the command save in the Command Window, and the workspace will be saved in the current folder by default, with the name of "matlab.mat".

If you want to load your workspace, simply type in the command load in the Command Window.
