I have never done any research on climate change, and I am not alone. All I have published so far concern the mean state, and the dynamics that sustain the mean state in the ocean.
Since the funding is skewed toward climate change, I wanted to check to see if there is indeed climate change in oxygen in the ocean. I was going to dream up some experiments to mimic the warming effect on oxygen, such as enhanced upper-ocean stratification and reduced solubility. I actually did such exps. Then, I thought I should find out what have been observed...
OMG, the world has been changing in the past 50 years, and I will try to explain how these changes (both increase and decrease in oxygen, but depending on the location) are all related to each other in the tropical Indian Ocean, via ocean dynamics.
