我们不时有资助征召杰出的博士后,也考虑优秀的博士生和访问学者。
We have further funding to seek outstanding candidates to undertake cutting-edge research on
computational sustainability and environmental analytics funded by Campus
Alberta Innovates Program (CAIP). This is an excellent opportunity for
enthusiastic and ambitious researchers to use state-of-the-art approaches to
make an impact in a fast-moving field of research.
The postdocs will be a member of the CAIP Research Chair team at Athabasca
University, Alberta, Canada. The objective of the CAIP program is to use a
multidisciplinary and multi-scale analysis by integrating modeling of
biogeochemical and hydrological processes with GIS, remote sensing, and
computational technologies to identify and manipulate diverse data on
ecological, environmental and climatic issues, to study environmental
sustainability of integrated terrestrial and aquatic systems at a river basin,
to analyzes their impacts on river basins and its landforms, and link the
outcomes within a decision framework.
Qualifications
•A PhD in ago-ecosystem, environment, engineering, hydrology,
climatology or other closely related fields
•Experience in modelling of biogeochemical or hydrological processes or
computational modelling.
•Strong skills and experience with programing languages (Fortran C, or
C++) and coding and ability to design concept of model, algorithms and database
•Excellent record of peer-reviewed scientific publication
•Experience in DNDC or SWAT models, GIS and remote sensing
•Ability to work independently, self-motivated and to efficiently
deliver results in time
•Ability and desire to work in a closely cooperating interdisciplinary
team
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in modeling of biogeochemical
or hydrological processes, with experience in conducting model testing and
coding. The position is fixed term position with competitive salary for a
period of 2 years for the first time and subject to review every six months
with possible extension on mutual agreement.
All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply; however, Canadians and
permanent residents will be given priority. The selection will begin
