2021年6月25日，福建农林大学麻类研究室联合该校基因组与生物技术中心在国际生物技术著名期刊《Plant Biotechnology Journal》（植物科学1区TOP期刊，IF=9.803）在线发表了题为“Reference genomes of the two cultivated jute species”的研究论文（https://doi.org/10.1111/pbi.13652）。该研究首次公布了黄麻2个栽培种的参考基因组。

为了便于学术交流，黄麻2个栽培种数据在中国国家基因组科学数据中心(（Natioanal Genomics Data Center)基因组数据库Genome Warehouse(https://ngdc.cncb.ac.cn/gwh)提交并释放。The genome data of white jute (Corchorus capsularis L.) var. Huangma 179 is deposited in GWH (https://ngdc.cncb.ac.cn/gwh) with submission ID of GWHBCLC00000000 (BioProject: PRJCA002486,Biosample:SAMC153387) and dark or tossa jute (Corchorus olitorius L.) var. Kuanyechangguo is deposited in GWH (https://ngdc.cncb.ac.cn/gwh) with submission ID of GWHBCLB00000000 (BioProject: PRJCA002487,Biosample:SAMC153388).
