SAE’s and AE’s, Agronomy Journal
Since January 1, we have had 158 total submissions with 16 receiving an immediate rejection (language, plagiarism, topic). The number of accepted papers (including some coming from 2011 that were in queue) continues to be just above 50% (see graph below, sent earlier).
The average number of papers SAE’s have been assigned since January 1 is 5.1 (range 3 to 7)
Issues that have come up that could possibly be discussed in Cincinnati in October are listed below.
1. reduced, changed rate for international submissions
2. developing country rates?
3. some lower quality papers making it through our review process ? revenue source
4. number of papers not reviewed
5. SAE's need to change the due date (resolved by Brett Holte)
6. TOC headings, Sue Ernst
7. Screening editor need
8. Current SAE, AE system
