Yesterday, I volunteered to take some colleague/friends for a short version of around-the-island tour. They have been here since Jan. Once I heard that they never visited some landmarks, I jumped in.
Here is the list of things we did together: 1) Toured the KCC Famers' Market, where we enjoyed grilled abalone. (It was $7 for three first, and then $7 for two when the size got bigger.) 2) Stopped at the foot of Diamond Head. 3) Went to the Punchbowl Cemetery. 4) Waited in line (which is the point of trying this pho place) on the River street (between King and Hotel Street) to have lunch. (I have been there three times in the last three weekend!) 5) Stopped at the Pali Lookout. It was so windy and COLD! 6) Paid a visit to General Zhang's tomb.
We did all the above in about six hours. Then, I went to work for an hour, just to put in some new exps. What an exhausting day!
ps. I enjoy sightseeing. I don't mind being a tour guide once a month. So, let me know if you are coming to Honolulu...
