It’s time for me to escape a little while from the coming and going, hustle and bustle, and more important, perpare for another full challenge, this is when there is nothing better than hiding away in one amazing country in European, Spain.
Of course since I can’t enjoy Spain’s full beauty, naturely, I went to Barcelona and Madrid. Maybe a lot of people think Barcelona is more interesting than Madrid, it has a lot of amazing buldings, designed by Gaudi, and peaceful Beach, and also the famous Sagrada Familia, yes, Barcelona is an amazing city, I have to admit it, but I have to say Madrid is a place that I want to stay more days, because I really enjoy the Freedom and also surrounding by Art.
Madrid magically merges the tradition and modernity tegether, although it only has a short history of 400y, its strong personality left me a deep impact.
First I have to emphasize the museums, Madrid has a great many attractive museums to please everyone who visits them, and the Prado Museum is undoubtedly one of the great jewels.

It’s forbidden to photo inside, but still I can’t help to introduce some artistics. Prado owns an international attraction both for the quantity (8,600 works) and the quality of the paintings. I didn’t have enough time and also not good at appreciating the paintings, but I’m here strongly recommend some. Like by VAV DER WEYDEN, by RAPHAEL, by GOYA, and so on. Of course you can download it from internet, but a view before the original painting is totally another feeling, amazing, no matter the color or the lines. And most of the paintings have their own stories, like by GOYA and . It’s really really perfect.
The next station is the Palacio Real. In my opinion, The Palacio Real is probable the most emblematic building of Madrid due to its beauty, symbolic value and eventful history. It houses an enormous artistic richness, with works by GOYA,Velasquez, EI Greco, Rubens, among many others. Moreover, it has an extremly valuable collection of decorative arts that includes magnificent porcelains, watches and items of furniture.

Madrid has an extension of parks and Plazas, like Plaza Mayor and Puerta del Sol.

Plaze Mayor
Plaza Mayor is one of the most beautiful, liveliest and important spots in Madrid. The freso paintings of the buldings surround were produced by Carlos Franco in 1992. All kinds of events and celebrations have been held here over centuries. It has been witness to royal celebrations and festivals, and in Sunday mornings, it’s arcouds are reserved for a popular stamp-collecting and coin-collecting market.

Puerta del Sol

Puerta del Sol. Kilometre Zero
Puerta del Sol is one of the most famous and busiest square in Madrid. When someone mentions the city centre, they are probably thinking of the Puerta del Sol, This is where kilometre 0 of the Spanish road system radiates out from. And the clock tower is probably the most famous clock tower in Spain. Every 31st December, as the clock strikes 12, millions of Spanish people welcome in the new year eating 12 grapes to the sound of the chimes of the clock tower.
Madrid is an amazing place that offers an endless list of attractions for whoever visits it, I love Madrid. Now my spain trip is over, but another challenge of my work is begin, I’m prepared.
