A robbery and fatal shooting outside of a gas station on Detroit’s west side.
The overnight clerk who watched everything unfold told WWJ Newsradio 950 that the victim was pumping gas into his Ford Taurus at the BP station on West Seven Mile Road near Greenfield when he was jumped by two armed men, who dragged the victim inside of the station.
“The only thing I told them was I don’t have my keys on me. Then I go, I got kids, please,” attendant Ali Fouani told WWJ’s City Beat Reporter Vickie Thomas.
Fouani went on to say that he felt helpless.
“They had the shotgun on his head. I mean I got a handgun, but that won’t hold them from a shotgun, you know. There’s two guys. If I could do something, I wish I would,” Fouani added.
Fouani went on to say that it was his first night on the job and he won’t be working another one.
